Renegade Fun

I made my first trip to the Renegade Craft Fair in San Francisco.  I've heard and read so much about this event, it was something I did not want to miss.  So my teenage son and I braved the weather to go.   It was fun sharing the experience with him...we found so many cool things!
Here's a sample of the flier and several business cards we picked up.
It was such a treat to meet some of my favorite artists,
Marisa Haedike with Creative Thursday. I first met her at the Squam Art Workshops in New Hampshire in September.
Another artist I love is Jill Bliss, I finally got to meet her and see her art in person!
Just wanted to put a quick word in about this unique craft fair.  It's not like any other typical arts and craft events. It was a perfect way to spend my day in San Francisco.
The Grizzly Bear riding the bike t-shirt, is an early Christmas present for my son.  It's made by Maiden Voyage Clothing.

Getting Out

This was my first Campbell ArtWalk as a guest artist.
It was a fun night, thanks to all my friends who stopped by for support!
I received many compliments from people walking by,
several chatted with me for quite awhile asking more about
my art mediums and techniques.
Even though I didn't sell anything that night, the exposure and feed back was worth it.
If you are ever in the Bay Area, Downtown Campbell is a great place to hang out, great shops and restaurants, dogs are welcome too!

Art Show tomorrow!

Here is a sneak peek at some of my latest artwork...I like to paint enlarged versions of my doodle ink drawings from my sketchbooks.  This floral image is one of my favorite compositions.  Gee, what should I sell this painting for?  I'll be participating in a local art and wine festival this weekend, so wish me luck!

Squam Art Retreat....an amazing experience

I feel so fortunate and grateful to have had this opportunity as an artist.  Going to the Squam Art Retreat in New Hampshire this fall was one of the most inspiring experiences in my life.
I attended three different art classes...of course I had an amazing time, but the best part was actually getting to meet these teachers and fellow artists personally.  It made the whole experience so much more worth while for me.  These other artists are a just as "real" as us...they truly inspired me to reach for my dreams and goals through their positive and creative energy!
Speaking of creative energy...I met so many artistic souls like myself it made for an even more exciting time...our cabin was like a slumber party every night, sharing our art and spiritual inspirations and drinking wine by the fireplace.  I plan to stay in close touch with these wonderful women because they have encouraged me to go and do this Art Thing that I am reaching for!!! AND we will support each other along the way!
So here is my artful joys and happy thoughts to all you creative souls like myself....go do your Art Thing!
