LATEST ARTWORK :

Welcome to the New Year ... 2021 !

I've been behind on posting my latest work

from last year.

As we all know, it was a year we would like to forget.

Here are some of my latest paintings:

Please visit my Instagram page @autumnlanestudios

where I share all my news.

This is from my Landscape Series on wood panels.

My abstract botanical flowers are still my signature style:

Creating organic, nature inspired plants and flowers

in an abstract composition is the way I express my ideas.

This is one of my latest trees.

Working in a retro mid-century vibe is fun as well:

New Artwork :

Botanical Bliss in Bloom!

These four new paintings have so much

COLOR

and

PETAL POWER !

Each one was created with my organic textures
and abstract botanical line work.

This time I wanted to create
powerful and energetic colorful harmonies,
different from my usual earthy hues.

"Bali Bliss"
 "Purple Haze"

"Tropicana"

"Sun Dance"
These new paintings are available at JCO's Art Haus in Los Gatos, CA

New Work : Abstract Botanicals

This is one of my latest paintings,

"Raven's Flight"

In these close-up images,

the textures and organic linework

are highlighted within my painting.

I like to call this series of work,
Abstract Botanicals.

The large blooms are completely imaginary,
but very much nature inspired.

I wanted to create a dark rich composition,
with a moody palette for "Raven's Flight"

It still has a bit of a soft monochromatic vibe,
like most of my work.

My latest paintings of TREES :

When I take a walk or drive through the countryside,
every once in awhile...
I'll spot a
TREE
that just captures all my attention.

It could be the twisted branches or crooked trunk,
that interests me.

Maybe it's on it's last limb, and the bark has withered
into amazing textures.

Most of the time the tree will simply have this
empowered majestic independent spirit.

So this is why I have started to create my own
imaginary trees!

Busy in the Studio :

I'd like to show some of my latest work from this year :

This first group was for the
Affordable Art Fair at JCO's Art Haus
All but one, went home to new collectors...
what an amazing experience for me!

The following are more that I created for other shows this year:
Most have found new homes, which I am so very grateful for!

This one was a special commission painting,
called "Sierra's Landscape"

Abstract Botanicals

How does an artist describe their style?

When someone, who has not seen my work before,
asks me what kind of paintings I do,
how do I explain that?

I'm not a traditional painter.
I definitely like to experiment with techniques & mediums.
Line work and texture are important elements
in my work.
Oh, and I like to draw distorted imaginary flowers!
So I came up with a way to define my work:

ABSTRACT BOTANICALS

Here are a few of my latest paintings:
